 TSF Phokai (İzmir) Pro Tour–Garlando

Date : 28/29 May 2011
Table : Garlando (Garlando tables are easy to provide in Turkey)
Venue : Foça, Cafe Maritime Sports (may be amended; organisation committee will seek
a poolside or maybe a beach club location for a more enjoyable event)
(The present venue is a centrally located cafe in Fokai; tables will be brought a week
before the tournament.)

Access: It takes 30 minutes from İzmir (by land) to arrive Phokai. İzmir-Fokia land route
costs 3 Euros. The organisation committee will be in İzmir airport to meet and transfer
the foreign players to Foça. This transfer service is free of charge.
Registration and Prizes
Registration Fees are as follows:
Open Singles : 5 Euro per person
Open Doubles : 10 Euro per team
Mixed: 10 Euro per team
Prizes are as follows
Total registration amount will be divided into three and each category’s first 3 places
shall be
prized as %50, %30 and %20 of the respective sums. However, certain enterprises are
invited to the tournament. Any voluntary prizes to come from such enterprises shall also
be
distributed therein and under joint resolution.
REGISTRATION shall continue till 2 days to the tournament starting date. Pre-registration
(for
the foreign players) may be made by sending mail to the aforementioned organizer. Once

months left to the tournament, total number of registrations shall be started to be
declared
via www.langirt.org as being updated at the beginning of each week till the
aforementioned
deadline for registration.
Rules : ITSF game rules shall be strictly adhered.
Referees : Since no formally trained referees are present in Turkey at the moment,
organizers and/or their appointed representatives will act as referees. Any executive or
referee from ITSF welcome.
Accomodation : The town is a sea/sun/historical ruins tourism centre and participators
may enjoy a wide variety of hotels from single star to five star. Prices vary from 15 Euros
to 100 Euros for a day. The organization committee (TLB) will personally assist all
the players and/or their families who wish to unite their holiday with the
tournament) for best prices and best accomodation places. Do not hesitate to
ask help for the said purposes.

Note 1: For a full presentation of Phokai you may examine the annexed pdf document.
Note 2: A supplementary tournament will be played on Turkish classical tables (artificial
leather surface, rubber figurine feet, alluminium cast figurines, cork balls i.e. similar to
Bonzinis) besides the official ITSF competitions. This special tournament is naturally not
an official ITSF event and is only for coloring and crowding the event. Turkish classical
masters are expected to participate to these games. ITSF rules still will be applicable and
prizes will be declared by the sponsors at the event
